Anyone who can confirm if GSM gateway is legal to use in US/Canada? About 1 year ago one of my clients want to install one in a show that they have many staff to attend and we check the conference and they said this is illegal to use in US.

You don't think of it as a "base" with a certain range like a 2.4GHz home phone.
