Hi Moshe,

You might want to have a look at this open source web ticketing system
: http://www.osticket.com its pretty neat and clean code.

It shall beat all the commercial ones, if you are looking at live
support kind of mechanism, then i would seriously recommend :
http://livehelp.zdziarski.com/

It beats all the commercial vendors and what more its OpenSource !

http://livehelp.zdziarski.com/matrix.html

Made by the genius who also happens to write D-SPAM, the most complete
anti-spam mail system.

If you wish to deploy any of the above, do let me know, we can provide
you help with both of the systems.

Cerberus by Webgroup Media [http://www.cerberusweb.com/] is pretty good.
It's ASP based with a monthly charge, but the fee isn't too bad and it has
an excellent feature set.

You can publish whatever you want with whatever terms you want. Just
remember if you USE GPL code in your code then read the GPL and understand
what the requirements are.

If you want the possibility of having your patch applied/included with
Asterisk then of course you need to meet Digium's requirements. Of course
they are not going to accept any less disclaimer, simply for legal libility
reasons.

Since I don't want to - neither can - disclaim copyrights of "all past

available for individual works (patch, additional feature, etc...) that
would not obligate me to disclaim any copyright interest in works that I
will do in the future or did in the past (regarding Asteirsk, of course),
but only of the specific one?

Request Tracker: http://www.bestpractical.com/rt/
OTRS: http://otrs.org/
DCL: http://dcl.sourceforge.net/
Cerberus: http://www.cerberusweb.com/

I prefer the first one, RT. Very powerful, but very tricky to install.
OTRS is the second best. DCL is good, but development group isn't as
active as RT or OTRS. Cerberus is free for one email (ie:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]), and is also a good candidate. The problem
with Cerberus is that sometimes the email gateway won't work in your
installation. Just don't know why. I gave up after trying every possible
fix - none worked on a FreeBSD.

Google search for "web help desk customer service" returned several
links and sponsored links also.

Does anyone know of a system that will allows us to accept tickets as email from the customer, and also allows our CSRs to input calls and then send the
customer an email when the issue is updated?
