There are several options:
If everything is hosted you can do whatever you want as long as you dont
distribute anything.
If you distribute something and its released under GPL, no problem either.
If you have binary modules or applications for asterisk, (that are
linked to asterisk) you will need to either provide the sources under
GPL, or buy a commercial license from digium.
If you are running something that uses asterisk, but is not linked to
asterisk (e.g. a GUI) this could be closed source without licensing fees.
This is how i see it, but maybe its better to contact a digium sales
representative and check it out with them. (and ask for a quote if needed).
