I had Verizon do that by sending the number to their voicemail for a
year. They charged me for inbound minutes. Also, they changed the white
and yellow pages listing to the address of the local Verizon POP. Good
luck with that solution.

Paul, they charge for incoming minutes because of Call Forwarding.
About the directory listing, it's a less than 10 minute phone call to
update it.
