I got another 330 from Polycom today. I prefer the cosmetics of this phone over the IP430 and it takes up about 1/2 the desk space of a 501. It also does native PoE without that silly step-down cable ;-).

I haven't put it through its paces so to speak, but so far I like it very much. It also has a scrolling display when idle which is a nice touch for multiple subscriptions.

I would recommend it as a desktop standard if you are in the implementation business.

Thanks,

Please tell us more. I have one ordered already, but my supplier is delaying the ship date every week (normal, since they aren't out yet).

How does the 330 compare to the 501, besides having only two lines instead of 3? In terms of quality of materials, looks, ease of use, fonctionality, etc?

Given the price point difference my plan is to use this as my standard phone once it's available (I used the 501 now). Is this wise, from what you know?

Mike

There are two new handsets due out from Polycom later this month that you should consider. The IP330 (2 NICS) and IP320 (1 NIC) are both the next generation of the 300 series product and are excellent products. I am testing one as we speak.

I hope that this is helpful.

Go with the Polycom 430. It is a better phone with better features. I bought several 301’s and everyone complained because there was no speaker phone and no message button. Otherwise it worked just fine.

Can someone confirm that the Polycom 301’s work with Asterisk Biz?

We are thinking of piloting some and just wondering if anyone has found good or bad with them.

Thank you in advance.
