The file format is wav. Groove Music and Audacity (regular import) says they are unplayable. Looking at the file headers, the unplayable recordings are missing the chunkSize and the subchunk2Size: 52 49 46 46 00 00 00 00 57 41 56 45 66 6d 74 20 10 00 00 00 01 00 40 1f 00 00 80 3e 00 00 02 00 10 00 64 61 74 61 00 00 00 00 94 fd d4 fd It looks like Asterisk writes the wav file with an invalid header because it is currently writing out to the file, but then it fails to rewrite with the correct length data when the recording finishes. *Michael J.
