The file format is wav. Groove Music and Audacity (regular import) says
they are unplayable.
Looking at the file headers, the unplayable recordings are missing the
chunkSize and the subchunk2Size:

It looks like Asterisk writes the wav file with an invalid header
because it is currently writing out to the file, but then it fails to
rewrite with the correct length data when the recording finishes.
What precise version of Asterisk is this? Have you seen it outside of
ARI? I'd post this information in an issue[1] with any other information
you have.
