Yes, but...
As mentioned some pentiums are not that happy about a 1ms block and
some oy the algorithms in the voice path need larger buffers anyway,
so why just not have the hardware do the buffering and let the Pentium
have a rest.
But, well can't have everything I guess...
That can only happen if EC is done in hardware. For most cards it is
being done in software. You don't seem to be grasping the hard real time
nature of how EC works.
