56k speeds should work fine. Going between 2 PRI will not drop any data bits. Going between a PRI and robbed bit signaling T1 will possibly change a data bit every sixth frame (.75 m seconds) but this should not noticeably effect the performance of a 56K dial up modem. (What really effects the performance is adding another A/D conversion.)
