But having the audio data in an SQL DB has some advantages. And since my setup is a very small one there will be only, lets say, 5 recordings per day on average. (Or maybe even less). So any "overhead" is no point of discussion.
And as I wrote before, Asterisk <-> mySQl connection is already up and runnig (for CDR). So it just would have been quick and easy if Asterisk could have used the same path for audio data. O.K., lets invest some time in installing ODBC.....
