I'm not sure if there's anything specific you'll need to do on the Cisco, but for me (using Linksys SPA-941s), all I had to do was to add the following to each SIP account definition: mailbox=<mailbox_number>@<mailbox_context>
I have a Cisco 7960, and this was required for me as well before it would send the SIP NOTIFY with the message waiting indicator, in the sip.conf stanza for each peer.
