There are no differences between the platforms for this bug. The bug was caused by the use of uninitialized memory, which could contain any (random) data. As such, each time you ran ztcfg, it would cause (or clear up) the bug for any given DTMF digit that your system might generate. Using Zaptel 1.4.8, 1.4.9 or 1.4.9.1 meant that if you got correct DTMF generation for all digits then you were lucky; the platform had nothing to do with it :-) -- Kevin P.
