Thanks for the replies.  From both Ray and Steve.

Steve, your response to me clued me in on how I was looking to do it,
and I got it to work.  I have just been staring at Asterisk doc's for
too long now :), and over looked it.

I am going to be throwing together a knowledge base on my website for
Asterisk as soon as I am done with an install, with various high-traffic
posts on the lists and hopefully get some of my HOWTO's to the WiKi.

I thank everyone for the continued support.  This community really is
unlike any other, as the participation levels here are incredible.  I
look forward to opening my e-mail.  Even beginners that have gotten
simple things to work, will reply to messages and help others out if
they are experiencing the same problem.  (I speak from personal
experience)
