Somewhere on your system you have a modprobe install command that's running when the module is loaded. Most likely it was installed on your system by http://svn.asterisk.org/view/zaptel/branches/1.4/build_tools/genmodconf?view=markup when you installed zaptel. Do you have an /etc/conf.modules file?
