Even if IAX2 doesn't current have these features coded into asterisk et al how does that stop an internet draft being written about them, all it has to cover is how it should be implemented not how it actually is at present, and having implemented the protocol yourself should be able to make statements how you think this could be done. Then the cute part is someone can come up with a testing lab once the draft is published and ratified as an RFC to certify interoperability between products and this removes doubt about how good/bad product A will work with product B...
