Hello,

I am looking for a VOIP Service Provider to work with getting started with
Asterisk.

Does anyone have any brief recommendations? Ease of use and support are
the key criteria.

I'm currently using iptel.org as SIP provider to experiment with. It's really easy to use (to configure in fact). I don't know anything about support they provide. Every time I had problems with SIP someone in the list was kind enough to help me.
