Asterisk can do this already. We do that already. The original poster requested a solution that does the split outside Asterisk for reliability reasons. Actually, from what I have read Asterisk is not totally transparent when acting as a switch, connecting several pri:s. I remember seeing a bug report a while ago about asterisk not passing on the dial plan specifier transparently. For most cases (such as ours) this is no problem. All our equipment and our pstn connection use the same dialplan.
