Get a Sipura SPA-3000 and forget all about IRQs.
How about just enable kernel APIC support "and forget all about IRQs"!!
It's not usually considered wise to have multiple device sharing the same IRQ when at least on of them is a Digium card.
They send out interrupts at 1000hz i.e. 1000 times per second or one for every 8 samples.
