I tried to install chan_sccp but have been unable to get it working.
Skinny works only partly and I'm still lacking basic functionality, for some reason the handsets do not ring.
I guess if have the choice, sip or skinny/sccp i'd go for ISP. I do not have that choice (yet??) however.
A good skinny implementation would be great however

Granted I haven't really hammered on the Asterisk version of SCCP. With this being said, is the SCCP project for Asterisk dead? Why is the Asterisk version of SCCP so unstable and crappy? Is there any effort underway to improve the support of SCCP for Asterisk? This would be great to be able to use the Cisco phones on * that don't support SIP such as the color 7970 phone. Also there are a bunch of features on Cisco phones that are only supported with SCCP such as multicast paging which would be great to use with *.
My experience with SCCP (outside of Asterisk) is that it is very feature rich and stable.

Let me CLARIFY for those that might not get what I ment.. DO NOT RECOMMEND SCCP unless you have actually installed and used it. Its crap...
SIP is what you want if you use a cisco phone with asterisk.
