[Asterisk-Users] Cisco 7940 problems

I've been having trouble getting into voicemail from a 7940 phone. Turns-out that the phone was intermittently sending two of every DTMF digit. I replaced the phone and everything is fine.

Could this be dirty contacts? Has anyone else seen this? Is there a way to repair the phone?
