Being a newbie, I may be wrong but I think you need to do the following (I have a similar setup). This is what I have. (from aah)

# Autogenerated by /usr/local/sbin/genzaptelconf -- do not hand edit
# Zaptel Configuration File
#
# This file is parsed by the Zaptel Configurator, ztcfg
#

# It must be in the module loading order

# Span 1: WCFXO/0 "Generic Clone Board 1" fxsks=1

# Span 2: WCFXO/1 "Generic Clone Board 2"
fxsks=2

# Span 3: ZTDUMMY/1 "ZTDUMMY/1 1"

# Global data

loadzone        = us
defaultzone     = us

You should also check you zapata.conf

; Autogenerated by /usr/local/sbin/genzaptelconf -- do not hand edit
; Zaptel Channels Configurations (zapata.conf)
;
; This is not intended to be a complete zapata.conf. Rather, it is intended
; to be #include-d by /etc/zapata.conf that will include the global settings
;

; Span 1: WCFXO/0 "Generic Clone Board 1"
signalling=fxs_ks
callerid="" <0>
mailbox=
channel => 1

; Span 2: WCFXO/1 "Generic Clone Board 2" signalling=fxs_ks callerid="" <0> mailbox= channel => 2

; Span 3: ZTDUMMY/1 "ZTDUMMY/1 1"

Hope that helps...

Thanks for the info

OK my first questions....

I have edited my zaptel.conf
============================
fxsks=1-2
loadzone = us
defaultzone=us

I have two X100P cards installed

When I run  /sbin/ztcfg
ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 2: Invalid argument (22)
Did you forget that FXS interfaces are configured with FXO signalling
and that FXO interfaces use FXS signalling?

If I set fxsks=1 it works ok.

Thanks
Randy

Hello,

I just download and installed the .8 ISO

i have installed two Digium Wildcard X100P Cards( I have two outside
normal analog lines)

Is there a simple of howto to get these working ?

I download the handbook, but wow there are many options.

I guess, the one question I first should ask, is ?? Should the user be
familiar with telephony apps and terms before attempting to use this
app. I am a programmer that owns a small business, so all the IT/phone
stuff is done by me and that is not my expertise.

Thanks
Randy

The * admin should have some working knowledge, I would suppose. I didn't.
I had to bootstrap learn, as it were, just like you are. It's not so bad,
once you get the hang of it ( actually, it's quite easy ).

If you have specific questions regarding installation, Digium offers free
tech support for the initial installation. Or you can ask your specific
questions here and we can try to help you.
