Hi Cedric, and everyone else.

I'm a unix admin/programmer working in IP network operations at Sprint
Canada. I recently became interested in VoIP when I read a PBS article
by Robert X. Cringely[1] about a torontonian named Andrew Greig[2],
and the zany setup he created in his neighbourhood (VoIP for his
neighbours, Video on Demand, internet service)

I'm particularly interested in how he's set up a softphone on his
Sharp Zarus with some multi-band card that supports GSM and 802.11
WiFi.

Lately I've been working on getting Asterisk to play nicely with
Sprint's VoIP product (95% there), and just ordered my first Digium
TDM400P card.

So, welcome to the list! I hope we'll be able to arrange some events
in the near future, like an asterisk install-fest, and some talks on
people's setups. I know there's one person on this list who designed a
really interesting configuration for the NDP that I'd like to hear
about!
