Mike,
Some questions/things to check.
Is your server inside a firewall?
Yes.
If so is it in a DMZ, with all the proper ports being forwarded?
Not the DMZ, it's a desktop machine, so I don't trust it there, but with
5060 mapped and triggering the RTP port range.
Is the sip client your trying to invite on the same subnet as the *
server?
Yes, but they're both logging into the SER server outside their firewall.
Have you checked that the sip client is registered with the server?
(from the CLI )
They aren't registering with Asterisk, they register with SER.
Can you call the sip client from an extension that is on the * server?
No.
However, Simon let me invite one of his accounts in, and it was able to
log in fine, so I think I can safely assume this is a problem with the
MTA being behind the firewall and wait until I can get a client put
outside the firewall for testing/developing this feature.
Thanks all,
Mike
