I got SJPhone (SIP client) connected to sw1.link2voip.com and it works fine for outgoing calls as I said. Plus, their website mentions SIP for connection method and there is no mention of IAX. Anyhow, it seems to authenticate and work and make successful outgoin calls.
I have thought of FreeWorldTel being case sensetive but I don't think it worked either. Can you please tell me what exactly your settings are this? (like all setting) It might help me get it worked.
One more thing, if you are not connected to link2voip does your DID number give busy signal when you dial it?

Just realized you're using SIP. I use Asterisk with IAX and it's been working well for me for over a year. Hopefully the info is still somewhat useful.
