I saw a great article [1] on IBM Developerworks talking about an
alternative to TCP and UDP for data transmission called SCTP (RFC 2960).
The most interesting parts I noticed were integrated channel bonding, and
preferred paths.

The article says that it was originally designed for PSTN signalling over
IP, but it looks ideal for bundling SIP control and RTP streams so that
it could flow as easily as IAX.

Has anyone used this protocol before?

Cheers,
Simon P. Ditner
