Not much of a pbx tho....It's just takes advantage of an existing PBX 
infrastructure..

SER is currently used to be a sip bridge between livecom server and 
asterisk as lc only speaks tcp and asterisk udp :P
Has been like this for sometime, a bit of a hack but non the less works 
well  from what ive heard talking to microsoft they dont plan on 
changing there com server from tcp to udp or even adding udp in the future.
 
Microsoft was rumored to be introducing a new exchange with pbx 
functionality anyone heard more on this?
