HELP!!!

I was pointed to a nice tutorial for the dumb me of asterisk, the main problem being that I dont' have a graphical interface used in it to make these configurations. Frankly, neither do I want one. When using linux I am much more at home in the console screen then in a 'window' format. (Tho I don't mind using ncurses graphics to configure the network.. ;) )

I am taking one step at a time, I have sjphone installed on my XP box, and asterisk running on the networked linux box, I can access 8500, voice mail boxes, and call my extensions.

This is going to be a simple IVR/Digital receptionist to route calls to the proper person, so I can control who answers what call meant for what purpose... (I have tenants who use the only available line in the house which happens to also be for my home business)

Right now I am a little lost creating a outbound call using the softphone, my next challenge will be in getting the box to accept inbound..

Is there another tutorial or how-to for the overly simplistic 'dumb me' who requires things to be spelled out in laymens details??...

Thanks alot,

Thomas Keats
