Does that mean you are working with Trixbox?

If you're working from the GUI it's right there in FreePBX.

Setup --> General Options: look under dailing options and get rid of the 'r'

Are you using an 'r' in your dial command?  If you're using Trixbox I
think it defaults to use it.

The 'r' generates ring tone locally.  I can't guarantee that removing
it will fix your problem but it's one place to look.
