Trust me.. hacking this phone is the only thing I would want as my tribute
to Vonage. Subscribed to them for a year, then three months after
cancelling they started billing me again. What a bunch. One another note,
you can get a dual line linksys PAPNA for approx $60, add in another $30 -
$50 for a phone set and you have the equivalent with more options.

Subject: [on-asterisk] good deal for cordless Vonage phone?
http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=373695
Future Shop is selling the VTech IP8100-2 for $99.99 (normally
$199.99).
This is a two-handset 5.8GHz wireless Vonage phone. The base station
can act as a 1-port broadband router.
It is claimed that this can be unlocked.
I would guess (based on no information) that the base station converts
a conventional 5.8GHz wireless phone protocol to SIP. In other words,
I doubt that the handsets talk 802.11g SIP themselves (that would be
really interesting).
More details in the redflagdeals thread.
