Like Jim says, no harm done and I don't want to seem like the posting police but there's some benefit to separating things. So, let's see what can be done to clarify things a bit.
Here's the text from taug.ca/discuss :There are three mailing lists: : * Toronto Asterisk Users Group (and Ontario) : This list is appropriate for "How do I?" questions, and general Asterisk discussion. : Send an email to "asterisk-subscribe at uc dot org" if you would like to join. : : * Toronto Asterisk Business Group (and Ontario) : This list is appropriate for "Where do I buy? Who do I buy from?" questions, and polite :classifieds. From individual to enterprise. : Send an email to "biz-subscribe at taug dot ca" if you would like to join. : : * TAUG Planning : This list is strictly for planning our activities -- such as meetings, workshops, and other :special events. : Send an email to "planning-subscribe at taug dot ca" if you would like to join. Maybe it would help if we added "(IE For Sale)" after "polite classifieds" for clarity. Is this where people are looking for this information? What does the subscribe welcome message say? Is there a benefit in having a quarterly mailing of posting guidelines, (un)subscribe instructions etc? If everyone knew why the lists are here, maybe new people would feel more comfortable posting. Opinions? Simon? I think it's amusing that I have hypocritically posted this message here when it probably belongs in taug-planning. :-) Dave On 1/24/07, Jim Van Meggelen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

No harm done, but this list does not allow for ANYthing to do with the selling of stuff, so if you figured it was not suitable for the biz list, that would go doubly for this list. If in doubt, my advice would be to ask first. We're pretty flexible about what is allowed on the -biz list. Usually all you have to do is mention VoIP or Asterisk and you're good to go. If it isn't outright spam, it isn't likely to be a problem, so go for it.
