Drew,

I use the Ultra 1000kva units from TigerDirect, if you go to their store they have (had it's been a few weeks since I've been there) them as in store specials at $68, online their 107. They're hard to beat for the price.

My most heavily loaded one will keep 5 small servers, a router and two modems running for at least 35 minutes ( haven't test any longer ). So I imagine it would keep 5 phones and a switch going for quite a while.

I have to power groups of 5 Aastra 480i phones plus a small PoE switch (Netgear FS116P) for 2-3 hours. There has to be 1 UPS per group due to the office layout.

Has anyone found a low VA/ long battery life UPS at a reasonable price?

What are others using?

regards,

Drew
