Depends if you have line of sight or not, what kind of antenna you
have/able to hook up to the router and all sorts of things, relaying a
signal isn't always the best option due to the half duplex nature of
wifi it can reduce overall through put.

Apart from the Nokia E series phones I don't know of any good wifi phones.
