You might be lucky enough that the HairyDairMaid JTAG software would
backup one of those units if you could figure out what the starting
addresses and sizes were.  Again, I'm no expert but it might be possible to
backup one of the SIP phones (assuming you could get your hands on one) and
then upload that firmware into the phones you've got.

I've got a JTAG cable that you could borrow if you felt adventurous.


Hrmmmm interesting approach. I'll open one of these things up and let you
know. Luckily I do have a working Mitel 5220 here, in addition to the
bricked 5220's I have in the boxes.
