Where does it say the response traffic is going to?

I found out more information.

IAX debug revealed that the incoming packages from the IAX phone was being
received by my asterisk.

But the response (outgoing traffic) does not go back to the phone.

Anyone knows why ? Is there a NAT setting somewhere in iax config file??

Thanks,

Richard

UDP 4569 should be all that's required. Are you getting any info on the
console that woudl indicate that the client is trying to connect but
failing?

I'm going from memory here but take a look at your externip setting. I'm
not sure if it's strictly required but it might help.

Good afternoon,

I have opened both TCP and UDP port 4569 in my firewall router but my IAX2
client still can not connect to my asterisk behind the firewall. It works
 fine internally.

I wonder if there are other ports I need to be aware of?

 Thanks,
 Richard
