I have been using the SPA-3102 with Trixbox for about a year now before that
I had a Mediatrix 2102 connected to it. I have also used the SPA-2102 and
WRTP54G with Trixbox with good results.

I found the only problem I had with the 3102 was in its tone detection. It
would not detect the hang up tone which meant that it would leave the line
open until the time out threshold was reached. This mainly happens if
someone calls the line, then once trixbox takes over and the greeting starts
the caller would decide they did not want to leave a message and hangs up
the phone. The SPA-3102 would not detect that the caller had disconnected
and would keep the line open. If you have a default mail box setup in
Trixbox it would record the disconnect tone and Eventually (in my case 3
mins) it would time out and release the line. This is a problem if someone
calls you within this time, they would get a busy signal or a default
message that says "the number you are trying to reach is not in service"

The solution that worked for me was to apply line filters to my PSTN to get
a clean tone and playing with the frequency range in the SPA-3102.

As for the SPA-2102 I had two of them connected to my router, one to a
cordless and the other to a standard corded phone for when my battery died
or the cordless needed charging.

The WRTP54G I used when I was on the road and I had access to a hardwired
connection. I programed it to register with my Trixbox and because it was
also a wifi router I could use my laptop as well.

I am now using Polycom 320s instead of the 2102s and I still use the
SPA-3102 connected to my bell line for backup as it has a power fail
passthur so if the power goes out I can still get calls. I programed my VOIP
line at my providers end to forward all calls to my bell land line(SPA-3120)
if it gets any errors, fails or busy signals. This way unless bell is also
down I will always get my calls.

On a side note my bell line is the most basic land line I could get with no
features at all, it is only uses as a backup line and for outgoing local
calls when my VOIP line is in use.

regards,

Anthony
