So far I have been pretty happy with (beta) m0n0wall 1.3B5 on a wrap
platform. It also includes sipproxd now for those who need it and "voucher"
support for captive portal.

(Voucher has nothing to do with this list but is a fantastic addition I had
never seen before. The firewall creates "gift cards" for internet access.
Trackable, reportable, and with an expiry date/time. We use it for giving
guests "x" minutes of net time to check their email without having to create
guest accounts).

Subject: [on-asterisk] I stand corrected. RVL200 is not suitable for VoIP.

After an initial test run, the RVL200 looked promising. However it soon
developed a problem where it would "hang" for several minutes at a time.

A firmware update was performed which fixed the hanging problem. The new
firmware has a "SIP Proxy" setting which is on by default and completely
breaks normal SIP.

Once this was disabled SIP started working again but unfortunately the
router then stopped keeping state for UDP (SIP). The usual work-arounds
such as qualify=yes had no effect and no amount of tweaking of the
settings helped. Phones would simply become unreachable every 30 seconds
or so.

The device had to be swapped out and can now be added to the long list
of crappy firewall/routers that can't do VoIP.
