Cabling

— SoundPoint IP phones will detect on used (signal) or unused pair
wiring but not both simultaneously

— Phones meet the minimum PoE performance criteria over Category 3
cabling with its two-pair infrastructure

— Most installations will however feature CAT-5 or CAT-5e cabling,
upon which SoundPoint IP phones are optimized for Ethernet data
integrity conformance

I'd love to find the same detail for Aastra!
