Leif,

You may find further info on the microbrowser and some useful scripts:
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Polycom+Microbrowser

I am sure you have seen the following link, but if you have not, there are
info on the new firmware etc
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Polycom+Phones

Just a note, if you are currently running firmware 1.6 series on your ip 50x
series polycom phones, the 2.x series xml configuration are different and of
course a lot easier to work with in comparison to the 1.6 series...

Good luck!

Elliott

Thanks Elliot!

This just might work... from the guide:

"The idle display Microbrowser is independent of the main Microbrowser, but
is capable of rendering the same content. Its home page is configured via
the mb.idleDisplay.home configuration parameter. The idle display
Microbrowser does not accept any user input and will only appear when the
user has no phone calls in progress and the phone is in the idle user
interface state. The idle display Microbrowser can update its content based
on a configurable refresh timer or by honoring the value of the Refresh
header. "

I'm gonna give that a shot on my IP501 here and see if I can't make
something work. If I come up with a solution, I'll be sure to let everyone
know how I went about it. This is for a paid client, so I'll see if I can't
release some of the specifics when I'm done (if indeed this approach works).

Thanks again!
