Ian, Not sure if you have checked out Allo at http://www.allo.com/ata.html ...and the price is good! I havent used the allo myself, but I think Andre is currently using it as per one of his posts
I have played with 2 SPA3102 and both had some echo issues and they are both running latest firmware, I havent had time to fix the echo issue for good, perhaps tomorrow. Result: not answering incoming nor allowing outgoing. Having to reboot it every two days is a PITA, though I could automate that using gsutil and cron to reboot it every morning during the wee hours (it still accepts web commands, thankfully). Has anybody: 1) Had hands-on experience with the FXO port of this device's replacement, the Grandstream HT-503 http://www.grandstream.com/ht503.html It's in a new case so it might be an all-new hardware base, or it might just be tarted up a little (at least it claims to support incoming callerid on FXO, which the 488 never did and never will). 2) Knowledge of any other low-cost SIP (or IAX2) FXO ATA? I know there are lots of FXS ATAs but I needs FXO. Don't need something with a lot of ports. Any actual experience with the FXO port of SPA-3102? This thread http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies-archive.cfm/571623.html claims they have echo problems on the FXO port, but that's from 18 months ago. Not interested in WRTG54 stuff as I don't need a router etc., Asterisk is already running happily on a small Arm-based computer.
