It just seems like so much pain. Why not just convert the mp3 files to
16-bit 8000k mono wav files, and play them right off the hard drive?
I know I have a case where the customer has an external MOH box managed
by some marketing company. They dial-in and make changes to custom
announcements and update the music seasonally. We have yet to find out
if they'll just ship MP3 files. If they don't (or rather won't) we will
have to do something like Andre outlines.
