Hi all,

        Has anyone succesfully used FreePhoneLine.ca with asterisk?

        I have set asterisk (v1.4.11) up according to the configs that they
provided. Asterisk registers correctly with their proxy. But I cannot make any
inbound or outbound calls. I get a voice response, "This call is not covered by
your tariff plan". This happens both when I make a call to my FreePhoneLine
number from another phone and when I try to make an outbound call from my
asterisk setup via the freephoneline proxy.

        I would expect a message like this if I were making a LD call, but this
is on making a local call.

        When this is happening on an inbound call from another phone, it tells
me that something is not right on the FreePhoneLine end of the setup. Yet their
tech support tells me that their server is recognizing my asterisk pbx and all
is right on the FreePhoneLine end of things, that I need to correct something
on my asterisk setup.

        Here are the relevant pieces of my configs:

sip.conf:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
register => <username>:<password>@voip.freephoneline.ca/<username>

[fpl_peer]
type=friend
context=fpl-in
username=<username>
secret=<password>
fromuser=<username>
host=voip.freephoneline.ca
qualify=yes
insecure=very
nat=yes
canreinvite=no
fromdomain=voip.freephoneline.ca
sendrpid=yes
disallow=all
allow=ulaw
allow=g729

extensions.conf
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
[fpl-in]
include => incoming ; my normal functioning context for all incoming calls

[freephoneline-out]
exten => _nxxnxxxxxx,1,Dial(SIP/[EMAIL PROTECTED])

also tried:
exten => _1nxxnxxxxxx,1,Dial(SIP/[EMAIL PROTECTED])

and

exten => _nxxnxxxxxx,1,Dial(SIP/fpl_peer/${EXTEN})

        If anyone has any idea about this, I'd sure like to hear from you...
either on the list or privately.

        TIA,

        --terry
