I can't comment on the Nokia phone itself, but yes, 3G is good in Canada. I
got the iPhone with the 6G for $30/mo plan, and yes, it's very good. It's
fast, but I haven't tried SIP over it yet. I'm not sure what the current
Rogers offerings are for bandwidth. I have also used it in Romania and it
works well there, too. :-)

Don't knock the on-screen keyboard until you really try it; I was very
hesitant about it as well, but I have to say that my speed and accuracy on
the on-screen iphone kb comes close to what I can do on a Blackberry or Treo
keyboard. I can't say for certain, but I think the multitouch has something
to do with it. I also have big mitts for hands; it works well with little
fingers as well as huge thumbs. :-)

iPhone without jailbreaking it... meh. Jailbroken, it's not a bad
phone/mobile computer at all. It has its warts, but I'm very happy I didn't
go BB or HTC touch diamond.
