[on-asterisk] How to track down unexpected disconnects?

Any suggestions on how to track down the source of unexpected 
disconnects?  They seem to be happen quite frequently.  I think it may 
have something to do with a registration timeout or something like 
that.  I can be on the phone for 30 mins before it occurs.  Any suggestions?
