I'd implemented a system which recorded every call and fax (yes fax audio) to a brokerage firm for regulatory purposes. The audio was automatically archived and moved between "hot" storage and offline storage, with the database keeping track of which call was where at any time. I'd be happy to discuss the archival and data management with you offlist.
