I think Bruce hit the nail here... "(when carrier allows spoofing)".
AFAIK, unlimitel does not allow spoofing on SIP connections, while they
do on IAX. Please correct me if this is incorrect, but I believe it to be the
case.
I am doing the same thing as Bruce describes with unlimitel and IAX2
and it works fine.So, your problem may be with the carrier not allowing
spoofing.
