Hi Philip, Thanks, it is not the voice mail. The stutter tone (or more precisely two short tunes) are there whenever you dial out using FXO line, but not when you use IP lines. And it is not right after you pick up the handset, but after you dial the digits and press the dial button (Aastra phones have dial button).
