Hi Guys,
A friend of mine is asking me how to enable Caller ID display and Call Forward
feature. I don't know much about the system except for have a paper with some
info about it's firmware. This was probably installed in 80s or 90s and since
then no one noticed that they don't receive caller id :-) They have recently
figured out that if they see the caller ID on incoming calls it can be useful.
They also think that call forward can be a useful feature but they don't know
how to forward their extensions to their cell phones.
The company is looking to spend less than a couple hundred to get these two
features working and so I don't bother to drop on site but I will give my
friend some tips if you guys know anything about these systems. I am assuming
the FEATURE 4 for forward doesn't work or else someone would have figured this
out in the last 15 years. Or maybe that is for internal transfers...
One other assumption I am making is that they use a PRI with this since their
number always show the same when they call out. I know this for sure in couple
of days. If it is PRI then I guess Caller ID receiving has always been a
standard feature.
They are thinking they need a module to get these features working. Is that
true?
