Jim, Martin, and Dean, thanks for the input. Seems like everyone likes Atom
ones. Can you guys please elaborate as to what casing you use or if you buy
assembled ones from somewhere?

Also, wondering what Dell ones Dean is referring to.

Thanks again,
Bruce

Subject: Smaller computer for a voip pbx - what do you suggest? which board?
etc...
Date: Tue, 18 May 2010 01:10:28 -0400

Hi Guys,

There is no need for power hogs these days for an office of 20-30 if it's all
done with g.711 and occasional g.729. Looking for a smaller box to work as a
PBX for an office of 20 with 6-8 incoming analogue lines (using Sangoma A400;
room for two PCIx cards). So, one PCIx slot is a must and two would be a bonus.
Gig port or ports would be fantastic. Nice enclosure to go with it?

I think something that runs on AC Adapter would be more stable than a power
supply with a smaller enclusure and no proper air circulation.

So, what's you thought? Intel atom? via? had any experience yourself and would
recommand one? Please remember that fitting Sangoma card is a must.

Thanks,
