Microsoft only suppports SIP over TCP, so you need to be running version
1.6 of Asterisk, or you need to employ a gateway product between the
Microsoft and Asterisk environments that will translate SIP/TCP to SIP/UDP.
If you search online you will find some articles for setup between OCS
and Asterisk 1.6.

Does anyone have any experiences with trying to integrate Asterisk or

I've searched through the MS docs, and all I can find is commercial
platforms (Aastra MX-One, Cisco, Avaya, ...) that are supported.
There is an "Open Interoperability Program" - as far as I can tell
"Open" means that they're open to you trying to get your hardware to
inter-operate. Presumably there is significant cost in this open
process.
I have found some docs online talking about tying Asterisk into
Exchange 2007 - Exchange seems to be the core of all of MS's UC stuff
- but has anyone local done this?
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Doug.
