IMHO anything between 5-100 phones (local or OPX) is a better way to go. 1. More features are available on-site 2. Bandwidth is much less. 3. Distributed network means less chance of a total network breakdown 4. Off-site Backups
But I totally understand John's point of view. 1. Usage Billing (per client) is easier 2. Complexity is mostly under direct management 3. Power and Network connections can be more robust 4.
